Javier Perez-Fernandez, M.D., F.C.C.P Graduated from Universidad de Navarra Medical School (Spain). Completed his post-doctoral training in Puerto Rico at the University Medical Center/VA Medical Center in San Juan and at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Board Certified in Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. Dr. Perez-Fernandez is very active in teaching and research. He is the author of several publications and he is a member of international committees and task forces and a well-recognized international speaker. Active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Panamerican and Iberian Federation serving as chair of several committees in both.
Dr. Perez-Fernandez is the medical director of the critical care services at Baptist Hospital of Miami and the medical director of pulmonary services at West Kendall Baptist Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Perez-Fernandez is currently the CEO of South Florida Critical Care, LLC.
