Jenny Lumsden has been an ICU nurse for more than 25 years, completing her postgraduate training in ICU at The Alfred. She moved to The Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2001 and was appointed to the ICU CNC Liaison role in 2003, a position she still holds. She is also a member of the Air Force Reserve and has held numerous clinical, teaching and management positions. She has deployed to East Timor as part of the United Nations Military Hospital, and to Iraq imbedded as part of the United States Air Force Theater Hospital. She has also been involved in numerous aeromedical evacuations around Australia and overseas, including for the 2nd Bali bombings and the Middle East area of operations - Iraq and Afghanistan. She was appointed as the Director General Health Reserves-Air Force in 2015.
