Felicity Hawker

Felicity trained in intensive care medicine in Glasgow and at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead in Sydney. She was appointed Co-Director of the ICU at Royal Prince Alfred in 1985 and worked there until 1995 when she moved to Melbourne to take up the position of the ICU Director at Cabrini Hospital and also worked part time at the Alfred Hospital. She has had a long association with the College and the bodies that preceded it – the Faculty of Intensive Care of ANZCA and the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine of ANZCA and the RACP and was the inaugural Dean of the latter. She is now employed by the College as a Director of Professional Affairs and leads several projects, including developing a College policy on selection of trainees.
