Amanda is an intensive care nurse with 25 years’ experience and specialties in cardiac surgical and respiratory critical care. She is a Nurse Researcher with the Critical Care Research Group based at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. Amanda has presented at numerous international and national conferences, and is regularly asked to deliver lectures as a content expert. She has published > 35 peer reviewed research articles, and 3 book chapters. She is currently completing her PhD and is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with the AVATAR group at Menzies Health Institute QLD, Griffith University.
Amanda has expertise and interest in the respiratory management of critically ill patients, particularly in the area of high flow nasal oxygen; and also in the management and care of vascular access devices, in particular ECMO cannulae.
